Set in a night club cabaret atmosphere reminiscent of New York’s fabled Cotton Club, DARK LEGENDS IN BLOOD is a clever combination of comedy and mystery celebrating the exhilarating and soulful music of the 1940s and 1950s as "performed by skilled singer/actors delivering engaging characterizations of five real-life legends of the era: Lena Horne, Etta James, Billie Holiday, Cab Calloway and Louis Jordan.
The evening’s entertainment gets off to a rollicking start with a stylish musical revue of such standards as “Stormy Weather,” “Minnie the Moocher,” “At Last,” and “Let the Good Times Roll” -- complete with behind-the-scenes theatrics, character conflicts, and revelations of clandestine relationships.

The singers are accompanied by “The Duke's" six-piece jazz combo, while comic Emcee Billy Gamble hosts with wit and charm.
But when one of the stars is murdered right on stage, Brent Randall, a clever undercover cop enters the scene to solve the crime – and to guide the audience, pad and pencil in hand, through an investigation in which everyone is invited to answer the question: “Whodunit?”
Clues are gathered, witnesses – including a few suspicious supporting characters – are interviewed, members of the audience submit their solutions, and before the evening ends in a rousing, musical finale, YOU may be the one to guess the murderer’s identity!
